The NIVEA company is the worldwide company, which produces the cosmetics, known around the world. We are going to launch a new product – NIVEA Soft Cream and we think that it will be in demand because all of our current products are very popular in the world.
The purpose of this business plan is to introduce you our company, features of our new product and financial aspects of promotion.

PERFOMANCE
In 1911 NIVEA launched our first cream. In the first year of sales our company sold 1 billion EUR in this range, it was a good start for this product.
Thanks to great advertising company in 1912, sales increased to 1,5 billion EUR. It was a period of growth and expansion. NIVEA broke into new markets. And by 1914, Beiersdorf has worked in 14 countries. Products were made not only in Germany. According to statistics, about 42% of the company's products were produced abroad.
The First World War undermined the sales of NIVEA cream, and until 1918 the sales volume did not change. After 1918 sales increased rapidly to 2 billion EUR in 1930. Because of Second World War, in 1939 sales of cream started to fall. Sales fell to 1,5 billion EUR. In that period we were in serious difficulty, there were industrial unrests, so company created new strategy and thanks to clever advertising policy NIVEA could survive the difficult period and after 1945 sales began to rise.
Today the Nivea brand is one of the most famous in the world. The company consistently expands. The variety of products is produced. In general, in the first half of 2011, sales growth increased by 2.6% to 5 billion EUR, compared with the previous year. Nowadays NIVEA is planning to launch production of a new product – NIVEA Soft Cream.
By 2020 we are planning to increase sales to 7 billion EUR.
PRODUCTION
Development and production of a new cream will include several steps:
1. Development of an innovative formula containing jojoba oil and vitamin E.
2. Development of an attractive packaging design in two different versions.
3. Testing cream for hypoallergenic and check for side effects.
4. The advertising campaign and release test batch on the market
5. In case of success and achieving a high demand - the cream will be fully run in production.
To develop the latest formula requires highly skilled scientists and specialists. Therefore, all research conducts in Germany. The cream manufactures only from first class ingredients. For example, jojoba oil comes from Mexico.
Important value has the design of cream package. It was created to design project of Pearlfisher agency. The purpose of the new package to make the line more modern, interested buyer. As before, the main colors are blue and white. A color accents in the central part of the packaging highlights the product name. Package made of high-tech materials, does not contain banned substances, water-proof.
Production costs are low, because material comes directly, and besides Germany also has the highly specialized experts.
NIVEA does not provide direct sales to the end customers, and works with more than 100 000 retailers all over the world. But we are interested in sales and hold regular meetings, seminars and consultations for our partners.
DISCRIPTION OF THE NEW PRODUCT
Our company “Nivea” is going to launch a new product – NIVEA Soft Cream.
NIVEA Soft - an intensive cream for daily care of the face, hands and body with vitamin E and jojoba oil.
NIVEA Soft - an intensive moisturizer for daily care of the face, hands and body. The composition of the formula contains vitamin E and natural ingredients - jojoba oil.
Vitamin E has called "vitamin of youth", protects the natural structure of the skin from the harmful effects of the environment, promotes cell regeneration and prevents aging.
Jojoba oil gives it a stimulating effect.
There are many biological and mineral substances and vitamins - all you need for beautiful and well-groomed skin.

It is slim and lightweight
The big advantage is its size. Pocket size of a small jar permits to take it everywhere. (see below)
Because of its balanced composition this cream is suitable for the care of all skin types.
Oil supports the natural pH of the skin factor, effectively nourish and hydrate it from within.
Cream NIVEA Soft is an emulsion of "oil-in-water", in which tiny drops of jojoba oil enclosed in a water shell. That’s why skin become more silky, fresh and full of energy.
New formula gives a great effect with less cream
Also, we present you a new packaging design. For added convenience we offer to release the cream into a small and a large package. The little jar (30 ml) is made in a concise, but stylish design. It is very easy to carry in a bag; you can take and use it anywhere, anytime. Big jar (100 ml) is suitable for use in the home. Both types of jars made in the classic blue and white.
The price for a big jar is $10, for a little jar is $5. But we think that in the case of great demand we can decrease the price.
Also we can create some special offers to encourage customers to spend more. For example, if you buy a set of small and large jars of cream, you get a gift – a mini-jar of massage oil.
FINANCIAL EFFICIENCY
The company intends to launch a new product. For successful realization we have developed a marketing strategy, calculated financial efficiency. The basis is the analysis of the past sales and also the analysis of the domestic market.
The Marketing Department conducted an Internet-survey of the consumers of cosmetics. Number of respondents is 11.459 people as well. The main result - the fact that 69% of our clients are completely satisfied with our products and look forward to producing NIVEA Soft Cream. 25% of respondents noted that the previous version of cream had weak points and disadvantages, which we took into account in the new version, and hope for significant improvements. Only the last 6% of asked people are unhappy with our products and are not interested in the new cream. Having analyzed the situation, we make a conclusion that the situation on the market is conducive and the goods should succeed.
